Ghana Digital and Innovation Week (GDIW) 2024, set for October 2-4 at Accra International Conference Centre, marks a pivotal collaboration between Ghana, Germany, and Israel. Spearheaded by the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Ghana Hubs Network (GHN), and Impact Investing Ghana (IIGh), with support from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and MASHAV, the event’s theme “Innovate Together: Collaborating for Digital Transformation and Impact” underscores global partnerships in digital advancement.
At the recent launch in Accra on June 17th 2024, Amma Lartey, CEO of IIGh, emphasized the event’s growth into a multilateral platform, fostering dialogue and action across sectors. Highlighting the transformative power of digital technologies, Lartey affirmed the event’s focus on exhibitions, debates, and commitments aimed at societal development.
Dr. Samuel Antwi Gyekyi of the Ministry of Communication and Digitalisation reiterated Ghana’s commitment to enhancing digital infrastructure and promoting innovation and literacy. The collective efforts of these stakeholders at GDIW 2024 aim to propel Ghana’s digital ecosystem forward, showcasing collaborative strategies for sustainable development.
Clifford Bansah, NEIP’s Director of M&E, anticipates innovative insights at GDIW 2024, envisioning impactful contributions to Ghana’s development agenda. David Robert from GIZ Digital Transformation Centre echoed these sentiments, calling GDIW “a window into Ghana’s digital future,” underscoring its global significance in fostering international cooperation.
