Today marks the beginning of the highly anticipated Ghana Digital Innovation Week (GDIW) 2024, which runs from October 2nd to 4th at the Accra International Conference Centre. With the theme “Innovate Together: Collaborating for Digital Transformation and Impact,” this year’s event underscores the importance of partnerships in driving digital progress across Ghana.
Organized by the Host Consortium—comprising the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program (NEIP), Ghana Hubs Network (GHN), and Impact Investing Ghana (IIGh)—GDIW 2024 builds on the momentum of previous editions, promising to set new records with over 6,000 attendees, 96 exhibitions, and 60 insightful sessions expected throughout the week.
The week-long activities kicked off with regional events aimed at decentralizing the impact of digitalization. These regional roadshows, held in cities like Tamale, Koforidua, and Takoradi, brought together government officials, tech innovators, and community representatives to explore emerging opportunities and celebrate local innovations.
Speakers from the public and private sectors will grace the event, including Patricia Obo-Nai, CEO of Telecel Ghana, and Franziska Jebens, Head of Development Cooperation at the German Embassy, who will share their insights on harnessing digital technologies for economic and social growth.
The event will feature various activities, such as exhibitions, panel discussions, and networking sessions, all designed to foster partnerships and offer solutions to the challenges of Ghana’s digital ecosystem. The focus remains on building a sustainable digital future that benefits not only tech innovators but also the entire nation
