Seven of the 10 best-selling phones in the world are iPhones
The list of the best-selling smartphones in 2021 has already been released. Companies like Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi have taken place in the top ten.
Such information has come up in a recent research of Counterpoint. According to the statistics of that report, 7 out of the 10 smartphones that have the highest sales are from Apple! On the other hand, there are two Xiaomi and one Samsung smartphone in the list of those ten.
Counterpoint Research lists five iPhones in the top five, followed by Samsung in sixth, a Redmi phone in seventh, an iPhone in eighth and ninth, and another Redmi smartphone in tenth.
It is known that iPhone 12 has sold the most in 2021. Right after that there are iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 11. The first three models account for 41 percent of Apple's overall sales. Bigger than that, the main reason for such sales of iPhone 12 series is the long awaited 5G upgrade among the trusted iOS users.
Counterpoint Research said: "The delayed launch of the iPhone 12 series due to the holiday season has led to the massive sales of this series. The iPhone 13 series launched in the same year also performed at a significant rate.
The report states that in 2021, there were more than 4,200 active smartphone models worldwide. The top 10 best-selling smartphones accounted for 19 percent of global smartphone sales. This figure was again 16 percent in 2020.
In sixth place is a smartphone from Samsung - the Galaxy A12. The phone sold best in North America, Latin America and Western Europe.
Shaomi's two phones - Redmi 9 and Redmi 9A - have taken place in this list. These two handsets have contributed 22 percent to the total sales of the brand. China, India and Asia Pacific were the top markets for these two Redmi models. These two phones have made it to the list of best-selling phones for entry-level smartphone users.
