Meta is building the fastest supercomputer
Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is building a powerful supercomputer for research on artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The supercomputer, which understands hundreds of languages, will create new ways to find out harmful or hateful comments by analyzing messages, photos and videos exchanged between Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp users owned by Meter.
Named AI Research Supercluster (RSC), this supercomputer is specially designed for training in machine learning technology. As a result, it will be used to create various features and devices of augmented reality (AR) technology including data management algorithms of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp. In the future, the company's supercomputer will also be used to design the company's virtual technology 'Metavers'.
"The AI Research Supercluster supercomputer will be fully operational by the end of this year," said Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta. We believe it will be the world's fastest artificial intelligence supercomputer. Hopefully, the supercomputer will help create new artificial technology that will allow more people to translate instant languages. Half of the supercomputers have already been launched.
