Chip-crisis around the world, there will be no crisis of technology in the country

The chip crisis has been going on for a long time all over the world. Meanwhile, stocks of semiconductors at various US companies have also come to a standstill. The U.S. Department of Commerce has warned that many companies have only five days' worth of semiconductors in stock. In 2019, this number was about 40 days on average.

Chips are used in a variety of technologies, from desktops, laptops and tablet computers, gaming consoles, televisions, graphics cards, smartphones to cars and washing machines. As a result, there is a risk of disruption in the production of these products due to the ongoing chip crisis in the world.

Ahmed Hassan, managing director of computer products retailer Ryans Computers, said the global chip crisis would not affect the technology market in Bangladesh for the time being. In the first light of this day, he said, "Although the technology crisis has been raging in the country since the beginning of the Corona epidemic in March 2020, the situation has returned to normal since the last quarter of last year (September-December)." Manufacturers of technology products have also assured us that the supply of products will remain normal. Apart from this, various products of our country usually have 30 to 40 days stock of technology products. As a result, if there is no problem in transportation of goods or any natural calamity, I think there will be no crisis of technology in the country.

Demand for this specialty has grown significantly as a result of recent corporate scandals. Following this, the demand for technology products is 17 percent higher than in 2020, creating a chip crisis. Intel recently announced plans to build the world's largest chip factory in Ohio, USA. The world's largest chip maker will also invest 2 billion dollars for this. Samsung also announced in November last year that it would build 1.7 billion chip factory in Texas,USA.
